2021 Holiday Ornament Sale
Main Street Lorain is excited to announce the start of their 2021 holiday ornament sale, which will feature one of Lorain’s premiere landmarks. Pre-orders will be taken for the ornaments, which cost $20.00 each, at a select number of small businesses and organizations around downtown Lorain including the Ariel on Broadway Hotel, Janasko Insurance, Lorain Historical Society, Lorain Port Authority, Marzavas and Son Jewelers, Muzik’s Auto Care, and Nielsen Jewelers.
Pre-orders for the 2021 holiday ornament will be taken at these locations through October 3, 2021. Payment in the form of cash or check only will be collected at the time of pre-order. The ornaments will be available for pickup at the location from which they were ordered during the week of November 29, 2021.
Main Street Lorain Executive Director Max Schaefer notes, “Last year’s ornament which highlighted the Broadway arches and streetscape were very popular within the community. We were absolutely thrilled with the response from our community. Our second ornament this year will feature the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge with a freighter passing through on the Black River.”
Schaefer adds, “We worked with local photographer, Jim Bobel who provided a number of images of the bridge, we chose one of our favorites, and the sample that was sent to us from our partners at Beacon Designs looks amazing. I really think the community is going to love this one.”
Sales of the ornament will benefit Main Street Lorain and their efforts in promoting downtown Lorain and helping create a thriving neighborhood along our waterfront. Main Street Lorain hosts monthly events to engage citizens in downtown Lorain, and ensure Broadway is inviting and welcoming to residents and visitors alike.
